Rhoda's Bruchetta

This recipe comes from my sister Rhoda.
It's one of those appetizers you go back for.....if 
there are any left!


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup miracle whip (salad type mayonnaise spread)
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • 3/4 cup black olives, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 Vienna loaf or baguette
Method:
  1. Slice bread into 1" slices.
  2. Combine other ingredients and spread onto bread slices.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and bake @350º for 15 minutes. Serve immediately.

    1. Miracle Whip is Kraft Foods brand name for mayonnaise.

    2. miracle whip is NOT mayonnaise MW is sweet, it might look like mayo but it is nothing like it. I think MW is quite gross myself..

    3. Yes, Miracle Whip is the Kraft brand for Mayonnaise. I usually use mayonnaise in all recipes but this one specifically called for Miracle Whip because of it's sweeter taste. I've used both with great success. I hope you enjoy them.

  5. oh yum. Anything with tomatoes and melted cheese on french bread. It doesn't get any better.
    Miracle whip is like mayonnaise but a bit sweeter and more tart. I think I would substitute with mayonnaise because I always buy it instead of Miracle whip.
