It's salad time, one of my favorite seasons of the year. I've always enjoyed making salads, especially my own dressings. Rarely do I use store-bought dressings.
This salad comes straight from my garden and it's not even a recipe. It's the poppy seed dressing that adds the richness of flavors. When making salads with fruit it's nice to use a sweeter-tasting dressing. I'm sure that you will discover most of these ingredients in your kitchen.
Poppy Seed Dressing
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
Instructions
Mix all ingredients into your favorite container and shake it up. Easy and quick to make.
You will be asked for this recipe. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for all your encouragement yesterday.
Our evening Book Launch was an amazing success and we feel so overwhelmed and supported by all of you. May God bless the widows and orphans that are supported through our book royalties.
The winner of yesterday's book give away is ....
Being a gal that has a Mennonite heritage background, and I have listened to my Grandmother ( who was a mentor to me in life), about the struggles of coming to Canada from Russia. She told me of how important it is to rely on God! I now am a mom sharing those stories to my children and hope that is passed through the generations to follow. I enjoy your 'Bread for the Journey' Sundays and look forward to seeing your book.
Country Gal, please email us with your contact info on our contact page.
Stay tuned everyone, we'll give away another book very soon!
I'm SO excited and feel SO blessed to be the winner! How do I leave my email address for you?
