I woke up to this scene, a winter wonderland. Even though it is not something we want to see in April it is beautiful nonetheless. And a familiar hymn came to mind.
Just like this snow covers all the imperfections on the ground, the blood of Jesus covers ours sins and makes us whole, all we need to do is ask Him, 'tis all of grace.'
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. | |
Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my cleansing this I see—Nothing but the blood of Jesus! For my pardon this my plea— Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
3
Nothing can my sin eraseNothing but the blood of Jesus! Naught of works, ’tis all of grace— Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
4
This is all my hope and peace—Nothing but the blood of Jesus! This is all my righteousness— Nothing but the blood of Jesus! Lyrics: Robert Lowry |
Thanks for the reminder of a great hymn, Betty!
ReplyDeleteThis made me want to look up an a cappella version of the hymn:

Thanks for the reminder. I love this hymn!
I'm amazed that you had snow. We didn't get any here in Portland but perhaps you're at a higher elevation.
ReplyDeleteI grew up singing this song at our church. Wonderful truth.
OOps, I thought this was Ellen posting from nearby in Washington (hence my comments about the snow.) Sorry for my mistake but I enjoyed your picture and your hymn!
