When I came across a photo of peach ice cubes recently, I knew that was something I would like. It seems others do as well...and have requested the recipe. So I'll share my method, though I'm sure you can tweak it any way you like. Peach ice cubes are a most refreshing addition to ice-tea, lemonade or (my favorite) Fresca.
- 3-4 cups of sliced peaches
- 1/4 cup sugar
- juice of 1 medium lemon
- Put all ingredients in blender and pulse until smooth.
- Pour into ice-cube trays and freeze until firm.
- Remove from trays and store in Ziploc bag.
Enjoy!
Hi, Judy! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat is Fresca drink?
Fresca is a Diet Grapefruit flavored pop drink.
DeleteFresca is calorie-free citrus flavoured soft drink. It is also available in a citrus-peach flavour, but that is hard to find in Canada. Now I simply add peach ice-cubes to sparkling citrus fresca...a great refresher on a hot day!
DeleteThank you!
Deleteoh my that looks delish
ReplyDeleteI like the way the straw matches the colour of your drink in your photograph. Pleasant colour coding :) -Or a happy accident.
ReplyDeleteWe have tried this at our house and it is wonderful!!! We also used strawberry and liked it even better.
ReplyDeleteGotta try this for sure!
ReplyDeleteThis drink looks so FUN to make/serve. Did you use fresh peaches? or canned peaches? I am assuming fresh is better! Enjoy your blog so much!
ReplyDeleteFresh peaches only. Once peach season arrives, I'm thinking it will be a good way to use up those slightly over ripe peaches.
DeleteI pureed fresh peaches the other day for another recipe and the puree was so delicious, and pretty! Canned would be another flavor intirely, I think.
DeleteBeautiful drink! Definitely want to try this! Thanks.
What a great idea! I must remember to do this during peach season.
ReplyDeleteOh Yum!! Can't wait for fresh peaches. I'm thinking I'll put a few into a glass of milk and dunk pound cake into it. Oh good grief, now I've just gained another pound thinking about it.
