Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Another favorite cookie recipe from my mom, made so many times for all of her grandchildren as they were growing up.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons pancake syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Method:
  1. Cream (room temperature) butter and shortening. Add in the sugars and syrup, beating until well combined, then the eggs and vanilla.
  2. Add combined dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  4. Drop by Tbsp onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake at 375° F for 10 minutes - for larger cookies - yielding 4 dozen (8 minutes -  for smaller cookies - yielding 5 dozen)
  6. Leave on cookie sheets to cool.

  3. Printed this recipe as I have many others and they are print friendly. However, the smallest print size I can select is 9 pt. I would like to print it in smaller form as it usually takes 2 or 3 sheets to print it making it inconvenient when making the recipe. Can you set it smaller? Thanks.

    1. Have you tried to click on "remove images"? I just tried that and used the smallest print option ... it only takes up half the page.

I'm sorry that is all I can suggest, since we have the privelege of using the print button for free and do not regulate how it works.
