Both are quick and easy to make.

  • pepper to taste
  1. Blend mayonnaise and buttermilk in a jar or shaker

  3. Shake or blend well.
  4. Store in refrigerator until needed.

Thousand Island Dressing *

  1. Love the buttermilk herb, but my Thousand Island ALWAYS tastes like pink wallpaper paste. I will give this a try as my husband love TI.

    You are all gems.

  10. I'm glad you liked it, Lynn - as for how long they keep - the buttermilk herb has both mayo and buttermilk in it which both keep a long time in the fridge although we usually finish it in a few days. I think I've kept the 1000 Isl. dressing for a good month or so but it would be good to check the website mentioned by Ellen.
