Hello Friends!

We are very excited to announce that our new book Celebrations due to be published May 2 is now available for preordering.

We have just finished proof reading and have seen the beautiful pages in their design and can hardly wait to share it with all of you!

Celebrations is filled with recipes and stories that honor all of life.
From tender mini-muffins to an elegant egg souffle roll to campfire cookout meals and ideas on what to bring to someone who needs a meal of comfort.
We've included our favorite family meals that are sure to please and  recalled the recipes that make children of all ages smile.
We have included tips on how to make hosting guests in your home a simple and stress free event and special ideas on making milestone events an occasion to remember.
We've put our heads together and each come up with something that is a must serve for our holiday menus and came up with our most commonly requested recipes to bring to a potluck.

As in our first book we have once again shared stories of how the ten of us celebrate all of life's events and offer inspirational thoughts that reflect the same themes.

With over 300 pages filled with photos, recipes and stories we hope that you will once again feel compelled to share it with family and friends.
The royalties will be designated to the  WASH program in Africa.

  2. Every spring I look forward to the opening of our sunroom - it's not winterized, so we really appreciate when the weather warms up and we can once again gather in this room to celebrate family and friends.Sometimes it's open for Easter. Often meals are served buffet style in this room - an easy way to entertain.

  23. My favourite, would be Christmas. I love baking. I check your site every morning, it's part of my computer routine, while i have my morning coffee. Your recipes i find are ones i would use the most & i've gotten some surprises on here, wishing there were certains ones. For example the tortilla shell one's recently. I've got to try this one. Maybe this weekend, i'll get around to do it. I find they are getting expensive to buy in stores here, especially when i'm cooking for a family of seven. Looking forward to more good recipes & a chance at your cookbook, whether free or purchased.

  72. My most favorite celebration is not necessarily Christmas BUT the pre-Xmas month prep. Each year (for almost the past 14 years), we've had a huge family and friends cookie bake.... We encourage everyone to bring two types of cookie dough and the recipes... and we ask if someone has a family recipe that is near and dear to them to please bring that. We gather these handwritten recipes and make a little recipe book each year. Usually held the first Sunday in December, the annual cookie bake brings back such memories of family and friends no longer with us but through their recipes, we feel like they are right beside us... Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas... traditions and food truly keep our loved ones close to our hearts! I can't think of anything else that can evoke memories quite as vividly as food!

  135. Every time our family gets together it has been a celebration! When our children were young our meals were a celebration just because we were able to eat together. Their friends were always amazed. Now that we are Grandparents it has not chanaged. We are fortunate to have our families live close by so we see them often. But when we are gathered around the table for our family dinners in the kitchen amidst all the noise and commotion, talking, laughing and all else that could be, that is a celebration. A celebration of a true gift from the Lord, Family. Judy

me....I love having people interact with one another without
cell phone texting, tweeting, computer activities....Just
people talking in person with people....like it used to be
before all this technology....Thanksgiving is m favorite of
favorites because we have so much to be thankful for.

  138. Your blog is a daily blessing! The wonderful recipes plus the "Bread for the Journey" on the weekends - all help to make life more enjoyable and meaningful. My favorite celebration is probably Thanksgiving because it is a reminder to constantly have grateful hearts to God for all our undeserved blessings. Also, it means that at least some of our 5 kids with their spouses and the 11 grandchildren may enjoy the time with us!

  144. The children's birthdays are lots of fun - a child's excitement is so fun to watch! But the best celebration will be in heaven to meet Him who does so much for me!
Love your blog, and have your first recipe book, would love another!

  146. I think I love any celebration that involves the whole family; siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, oma and opa etc. I love a house full but I didn't always - as a young bride/mom I was overwhelmed by the amount of time and effort that was needed. Now that my kids are old enough to really help, we are really learning to enjoy the preparations and look forward to the large family gatherings.

  147. Celebrations, of all types, are what make life fun. My husband and I celebrate whenever we go for coffee together -- we celebrate the fact that we still enjoy being together after 54 years. Celebrating each day that God gives us to be able to share His love with family and friends. Your recipes are inspiring and tasty (I convert many to soy and gluten free)! ekh

  158. I love Thanksgiving. I think that the gathering of family, large and small, old and young, is just so warm and wonderful. No gift giving just giving the gift of self. We always have our children and grandchildren, parents , siblings, nieces and nephews and anyone who wants to be a part of family, for dinner (or as long as they want to stay). Congratulations on your cookbook. So wonderful that proceeds will be benefiting those in need.

  159. I love any celebration where we get together as a whole family. The next time we will all (almost all) be together is my niece's wedding in July. Can't wait for all the love and laughter that we share, when we are together!

  160. My favorite celebrations are those of reunion, for instance when my 15 year old son returned from 2 weeks in China, when my husband and 2 older sons returned from a housebuilding mission in Texas and Mexico, and when my daughter returned from her servant event in Northern Saskatchewan. I am so happy to see them home and feel so blessed to hear of what was done there for others and seeing God's work done through them. We are so fortunate and it is such a blessing to share Christ's Love. Keep up the yummy recipies and the wonderful work you do for others here and in the Ukraine! Rose Molzan

But, then, so are weddings, new homes, anniversaries, birthdays...and just family gatherings. Christmas is my all-time favourite holiday...people coming and going...it's a special time of year! Blessings to you all! Camille

  173. A new baby is my favorite celebration. There's nothing quite like it! And lucky me, my best friend had a baby girl on Christmas Eve and my stepsister had a baby boy on February 11th. :)
I would love to read the book, especially on what to bring to comfort a friend. I had multiple chronic illnesses and have met several friends who do also. Cooking can be such a great help to someone who isn't feeling well, especially those of us who deal with it 24/7/365.
