Bread for the Journey
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patients. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14

Bread for the Journey
My heart belongs first to my Heaven Father. He created me giving me life....and as I grew I came to understand through my loving parents teaching and their lives, my need for new life in Christ. That decision I made as a child has shaped my life and Jesus is the Lord of my life.
Secondly, my heart belongs to my husband Scot. We met in our church youth group, and dated most of our high school years. We were married on New Years eve 1977.
We have two married daughters and their husbands are great men! We have 5 precious grandkids from age11 down to age 7. I love my family!
My happy place is my kitchen. It's where I stir up a whole lot of things to serve others, and share life with others around the table. I'd rather share coffee across the table than text or email. I love face to face relationship, engaging in good conversation.
All for Jesus!

I have just recently found this blog site and have been happily pouring through the many recipes, especially those with mennonite origins. I have a great interest in my mennonite family history. It is a rich heritage for which I am truly grateful.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was 4 years since my mom entered her eternal home in heaven. Your post today truly exemplifies her life.
Through reading many of the recipes here, I have been inspired to begin making some of them. Also, today I decided to pull out my mom's chicken noodle soup recipe. The broth is simmering on the stove now!! The aroma whisks me back to my childhood and memories of my mom making this delicious soup! Now I am off to make the homemade noodles!
Thanks for the inspirations!
