Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour (or 1 cup white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour)
- 1 teaspoon salt (less if using margarine)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups quick oats
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup toffee bits (from the baking aisle)
- 1 cup white chocolate pieces
Method:
- Mix sugar, brown sugar and butter in a large bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix well each time.
- Add vanilla, flour, salt and baking soda.
- Stir to mix.
- Add oats and stir well.
- Add hazelnuts, toffee bits and white chocolate pieces and mix until distributed.
- Using a 1 1/2" scoop or 2 teaspoons, place cookies on pans.
- Bake in preheated 350 ยบ oven for 10 - 12 minutes or until cookies are set and beginning to brown on the edges.
- Remove to brown paper or racks and cool.
- Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
- These freeze well.

ReplyDeleteThese are very much like some I have made recently. Maybe a touch less flour and oats but basically the same. Let me tell you, I did not come home with a single cookie after a recent sew-in day! Good thing I left a dozen home with the husband ahead of time as pickings were non-existent later! Love the recipes, keep 'em coming!
