First Advent

Advent is the season of waiting and anticipating the celebration of God's perfect gift to us, and also of His second coming. There is an element of mystery and hope in this season.
In the busyness of the preparations we can often miss the importance of this time. We have an opportunity to get our hearts ready not just our homes.
We, Anneliese, Betty, Bev, Charlotte, Ellen, Judy, Julie, Kathy, Lovella, and Marg, wish for you a gift, an unexpected encounter with God. Just like the people in this video, sitting having lunch and suddenly they were touched by something unexpected and amazing. Isn't that what we all hope for, an unexpected encounter with God, especially in the midst of the busy holiday festivities.
May your lives be touched with the wonder and mystery of God's gift to us through his Son Jesus Christ.
(I wonder what is was really like for the Shepherd's to be in there fields and hear the Angels burst forth in song?)

Revelation 19:6 (New International Version)
6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns".

  5. Revelation 3:16: let us not be lukewarm so that our Lord spit us out; this was certainly zealous and the looks on the faces of the little people was precious...with you I pray for a One-to-one for all!

  10. I have to share with you all .... this event happened in my city ... Welland, Ontario, Canada.

Unfortunately, I wasn't at the mall on Saturday November 13th. However, I have certainly been hearing about it, just as everyone else is, and I see that as of today, the video has been viewed over 2.6 million times!!

It is wonderful to see how the love of God is reaching so many people through this beautiful video and the powerful words of the song!

    Have a blessed Christmas season!
    Merry Christmas!

My sister just sent me this video and it gave me goose bumps. I even cried. What a wonderful pick me up as I just lost my job and I was depressed. It imediately lifted my spirt.

  15. Nice way to start the Advent season. My sister sent me this video as well.
I am so glad you posted this.
How nice to hear from someone who had a family member that sang in it. I can see how to have been there must've been very emotional, for just watching it also brought tears to my eyes.
Which choir did this wonderful performance? I was wondering where the conductor was hiding for their timing was so good and in such a setting not easy.

  16. That truly brought tears to my eyes. My glee club in Chambersburg, PA sang this every year as our last song during our Christmas concert. All alumni of our school would join us. Thank you for helping me to remember something so wonderful!
