  6. I must say that if it wasn't you -I wouldn't trust this combo! I have cubed watermellon in the fridge and large cherrie tomatoes too - we'll have to have a little appetizer for lunch. Beautiful picture!

  10. Today is my first visit to your beautiful web site. I found it through Katy's web site called Food For a Hungry Soul. My eyes immediately went to Charlotte Rose's Maple Twists, and three hours after I found your web site, the maple twists were cooling on my kitchen counter. They are delicious and I will be blogging about them on my recipe page on Thursday. Thank you SO much (hubby thanks you also).

  11. There is a local restaurant in Oregon that serves a salad with watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, Bermuda onion, basil, tomato and balsamic vinegar. I have never found a recipe. I have been looking for "the secret" to it.

After looking at your blog for today, I am thinking that maybe it is as simple as what I listed. I'm going to attempt it tomorrow and if it turns out well, I'll bring it to Bible study.

Thanks for giving me the impetus to try it.

  13. I had a salad a few years ago that reminds me of this recipe, since it was watermelon served savory. It was delicious! And very simple:

    Watermelon (cubed)
    Feta Cheese (crumbled)
    Olives (black, diced)
    Mint leaves (fresh, chopped)

Toss all ingredients and serve. Surprisingly good.

  14. I would love to serve this for our care group meeting tomorrow, but one of our members is deathly allergic to vinegar. Any ideas for substitutions?
