Bread for the Journey

I Can Face Tomorrow

Even in the middle of the storm, I can face tomorrow.  God has promised that He will make something good out the troubles that come my way. I have seen Him do just that in the past! So I will trust Him with today's problems.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know, He holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because He lives

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 ESV

  1. Thank you Judy, this is something I need to be reminded of now and then. God bless!

  2. True, but if you add the 29th verse, it all makes sense, as to why we suffer.

  4. When the problems keep coming and i have prayed and cried and fasted it makes me feel my offerings are not worthy and i just want to give up. Others get their prayers answered. I say this not after just one or two things, years of hearing "no."

    1. My heart goes out to you...as you cry out from the 'middle of your storm'. I have encountered many 'storms' over these past few years. In one situation...we received a wonderful answer to prayer after more than a year of crying out to God. Another situation still looks hopeless from my perspective...but I will keep praying...and waiting. I just read an article by Debbie Kay of Broken Hearted Ministries about 'when prayers aren't answered'. I'll leave the link here...in case you are interested in reading it as well.

  5. Have you heard the song Mercies In Disguise? It speaks to the writer above & God sent this song to me during my husbands brain cancer journey. At a particularly difficult point in our journey, I pulled up this song again to draw comfort from, and guess what...i "accidentally" opened the wrong version on YouTube & it was the story of how she wrote this song during HER HUSBANDS brain cancer journey. I had to laugh out loud at how God soooo personally meets us where we are. I hope the writer above finds peace.
