Reflections
But we Christians have no veil over our faces;
But we Christians have no veil over our faces;
we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord.
And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us,
we become more and more like him.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Living Bible
This photo was taken at Linville Falls, North Carolina.
We are on a road trip through the United States...
and have enjoyed the beautiful foliage throughout the Appalachians and the Ozarks.
How beautiful to see the trees so perfectly mirrored in the waters next to which they stand.
One thing I noticed...
the closer the tree is to the water's edge...
the sharper the refection.
I think there is a lesson here for us...
who are followers of Jesus.
The closer we are to Him...
the more like Him we become...
the clearer His reflection in us becomes.
Food for thought...
'Am I radiating Christ to those around me?'
I like your thoughts on reflections. In my photography,I am always drawn to reflections and now I will be thinking on the sharpness and clarity and remember that I need to walk close to God to more clearly reflect His love to others.
ReplyDeleteWonderful analogy! And this is another time when I read the scripture used and thought: Wow! The Bible says that! Wonderful Words of Life...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene you have captured...glorious colors. Hope that you and the RV are doing very well.
This reminds me of our service at church this weekend. The good things we do, don't earn our salvation but what we do will show others that there is a God that loves them. The empathy I have for others plights will result in them seeing a loving God if I take my empathy into action.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Judy and such an apt analogy of how the closer we are to Jesus the sharper the image of Him in us.
