This is one of my favourite dips to serve at a party. It has all the Mexican flavours that we love all neatly layered together for a perfect bite every time.
- 1 - 250 gram or 8 ounce light cream cheese
- 1/2 cup light sour cream
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1/2 can refried beans
- 1 cup purchased or home made guacamole
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 small can sliced olives
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup finely shredded cheese
- Mix together the softened cream cheese, the sour cream, and the seasoning.
- Layer the cream cheese mixture first and then the remaining ingredients in order listed.
- Refrigerate and then serve with salted tortilla chips.
This is one of our favorite dips. It makes a great lunch, too.
ReplyDeletethis is super yummy ~ i make this regularly
ReplyDeleteps... I like the new look
I love the way you molded the dip but I'm wondering. . .how do you get it out of the container in one piece?
ReplyDeleteLooks great Lovella!
ReplyDeleteKim, I actually took the picture once the container was 3/4 empty . .and then I just took a egg lifter and scooped it up ..it kept it's layers quite easily for the picture.
ReplyDeleteOh yea...good stuff!
ReplyDeleteYou have served this to us and it is worth the effort. It's always nice having a snack food that keeps well for a week and is no fuss to pullout and serve. I'll make this along with your home made pita chips. Kathy
ReplyDeleteI make this dip all the time but I never thought to do a cream cheese layer?!! What a great idea to make it even more scrumptious:) I also love the pueblo bean epicure dip mix, its one of my faves!
ReplyDeleteThat will be on my list for this weekend. My whole family loves Mexican dishes...and this weekend, rather than having a formal time...we are going casual. I can make that ahead of time and Voila always ready when they arrive.
