I'm thinking I need to revive the tradition by making several batches of your recipe and sending it to my nieces and nephews who are at college now. Your recipe looks delicious.Skyenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-84480439223630476752014-12-16T07:07:47.357-08:002014-12-16T07:07:47.357-08:00Your mixture variations sound really great! I know that Chex are very light and crispy...I am careful not to store them where they will get smashed..but sometimes there are some bits at the bottom of the bowl. Thanks for your kind words. Merry Christmas!Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06617977766426840836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-40733520338683429762014-12-16T04:08:34.455-08:002014-12-16T04:08:34.455-08:00I'm going to have to make another batch of par...I'm going to have to make another batch of party mix! Ours is all gone already (something like 10 quarts worth). Comparable to your Shreddies, I believe, I use the little shredded wheat cereal. And in this batch, using your recipe, I don't think I'll use the Chex - that's all that's left of the recipe I used for ours - crumbles and mashed Chex. So I will probably go back to using Pepperidge Farm fish and/or cheese curls for that element. I know - they're not as healthy. Instead of peanuts, I use mixed, salted nuts - waaay more expensive, but I don't care for peanuts so - hey - it's Christmas! I'm eager to try the sauce mixture you use - I've always put an oil mixture on it, highly seasoned, but I'm eager to try the butter. Thanks for this recipe and sooo many others I've copied from your site! Looking forward to more, daily, in the new year as well as reading your non-recipe thoughts! Have a wonderful Christmas!Audreynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-61163428210865643202014-12-15T16:55:23.737-08:002014-12-15T16:55:23.737-08:00It just wouldn't be Christmas here without Nut...It just wouldn't be Christmas here without Nut's 'n Bolts! For a few years we couldn't buy Bugles here in our area so we had to substitute with other things. So glad we can once again have them for this special party mix recipe!Rosellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14615262714438296920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-23975784496422716172014-12-15T07:53:18.827-08:002014-12-15T07:53:18.827-08:00I wonder if I could make this in my roaster oven? ...I wonder if I could make this in my roaster oven?
