I do keep the cake tightly covered in the fridge if there is any leftover. It is a sweet topping for sure.Bev Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01270938389792314932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-20843333503355429022012-11-09T12:32:18.245-08:002012-11-09T12:32:18.245-08:00You could just use more coconut. You could just use more coconut.Bev Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01270938389792314932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-48956213233395472932012-11-09T04:16:22.745-08:002012-11-09T04:16:22.745-08:00The cake is delicious and moist! One disappointment, though: I turned the stove to broil for a little just to get the middle of the topping to bubble. That was fine, bubbled nicely in the middle very quickly - but last night the topping had become very sugary. It wasn't like that earlier in the day. Any idea why?Audreynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-72470509976654664262012-11-08T10:11:48.064-08:002012-11-08T10:11:48.064-08:00I never noticed that ! Baking it is just a way to ensure it doesn't burn as quickly as it could under the broiler.Bev Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01270938389792314932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-60980042904518409822012-11-08T05:34:36.953-08:002012-11-08T05:34:36.953-08:00Have this cake in the oven as we speak, but am won...Have this cake in the oven as we speak, but am wondering why it's called "broiled" icing/frosting when the recipe says to put it back in the 350-degree oven until frosting bubbles, doesn't say to put it under a broiler.Audreynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6454531829676162260.post-55965840146911440942012-11-01T18:03:51.904-07:002012-11-01T18:03:51.904-07:00What would you suggest instead of the pecans or al...What would you suggest instead of the pecans or almonds?
