For smaller families (I am a widow and for most of the year I am a family of 1), freeze the cabbage rolls individually and the sauce in small portions. Then take out what you need when you need it. My mom did this all the time after all us kids left home. She would also throw in some carrots and potatoes with the rolls and bake it all together.
