Tanning Teddy Bear Cupcakes

ok ladies, can't honestly share the recipe with you for the fear of disappointing you that i used a .......are you ready, oh i can hardly say the words......a mix. please forgive me...... but i was sure that the decorating would please you......i saw this idea in an old recipe book that i had not looked in for a longtime, a cake decorating one, and since i am not really adventurous or creative it looked simple enough so i did it. i can't find my camera........low and behold i found this picture on the net......Flicker. . and "cupcakes take the cake", both great sites.
. KIDS WHERE IS THE CAMERA! anyways i thought it would be fun for any of you to try.......

so bake cupcakes..scratch or not

frost with favorite frosting
dip the cupcakes in graham crumbs

cut those sour strips to size

lay a teddy graham on the towel

place one of those cutsie umbrellas over the bears

these are so cute it almost makes me giddy
my cousins daughter has a dark complexion so hers is a chocolate teddy graham, so cute.

  5. I love cute ideas like that! No need to apologize . . . our family's favorite BD cake is a strawberry blackforrest cake and I use a devils food cake mix.

  10. Funny story behind your Teddy's. Today on my lunch hour I though I would do the mad dash to the dollar store for the little umbrellas. Sounds easy right! Well after 3 stops I finally find a store that has not run out. I'm wondering just what people are using these for. Everyone can't be making these sweet treats. Then I remember that the little Bears I already have in my pantry need a blanket to lie on. Quick...find the sour tape candy. Easier said then done. Two stores after that I find a fruit rollup type candy that is colorful (at Superstore). I pick it up along with afew other items and run to Starbucks to grab my favorite lunch. An Americano. (yes it is a food group)With minutes to spare I drive back to work and burn my hand on the mad dash back to my desk. White pants today. Lucky me...no stains. So ladies these may be made with a cake mix but believe me it can be quite a task to gather the needed items. This was all for one little very special girl coming over for supper tonight. She is a true girl..loves dessert. Kathy

  11. I made these cuties today with my daughter. FYI: After searching an entire Super Walmart, I found the umbrellas in the party isle. Oh and I used Betty Crockers fruit by the foot for the towels (those are by the fruit snacks)!
